Lets Take a Closer Look at Chickens

No matter how few chooks you want to keep, the prospect of keeping your very own flock can be a bit daunting. This is especially the case if you’ve very little knowledge of hens, or if you don’t have any friends or family who engage in chicken-keeping activities themselves. This guide has been written for complete beginners, amateurs, and old hands alike.

This handy guide helps new owners and seasoned chook-keepers alike

If you’re just starting out, we recommend you have a good read of all the different sections, so that you’ve got a better grasp of chicken care. If you’re a little more experienced and just need to brush up on a few key points, then select the topic you need from the drop-down menu on the left.

Hi, We’re looking at the idea of some chickens with the Go Up, some things online have said grass isn’t an essential, in which case, would it be best to get some sort of floor liner to put bark on? Thanks!
