Fantastic addition to our Eglu - good for both winter & summer protection. Easy to fit & looks good too.

Purchased 4 of these to cover my huge extended cube run, to make a much lighter area for my girls when they have to be confined to the run. We've had a lot of rain the last few days and these have stopped the rain from driving in and has kept the bark on the floor of the run dry. Nice thick plastic. Obviously not sure how long they will stay clear (could get discoloured by the sun) or how long they will last, but would imagine they could endure a good few winters. As our run is up against a hedge these provide good protection.

Excellent product, keeps chickens lovely and dry when wet, but still allows light in. There could be an extra eyelet on each of the long sides for a better fit.

I agree with Lisa. I fitted my clear shade this morning and found it a bit smaller all around than I'd like. However, it certainly is waterproof, whilst letting in plenty of light. I'm interested to see how durable it's going to be though, especially if the winter is as cold and snowy as last year.

A great purchase. We had an Eglu Classic before and our chooks are much happier with the extra space. We'll be getting some more chooks soon though. Very easy to put together. I think it said it would take 2 hours somewhere, but as a child of the lego generation and an adult of the MFI/Ikea generation it was a piece of cake and didn't take long at all. Would definitely recommend.

To anyone thinking about buying a cube then i would really recommend it. Its alot of money to spend out but i can't tell you enough how easy it is to clean, move around the garden, more hygienic than wooden ones and most of all my girls enjoy it too. I was prompted to buy this after a fox managed to get into my wooden coop and take one of my hens so knowing that they are safe in the cube and run is the most important factor for me.

Have wanted to keep hens since a small child and never thought i would after moving to a city. However, the Eglu Go has fitted perfectly into our medium size garden and the 2 hens seem completely happy and are laying well. Very easy to keep clean, A fantastic way to keep hens with a minimum of fuss.

This is great for my 10 hens. Easy to clean and no worry of the red mite. The only downside for 10 hens there needs to be 2 nesting areas one each side. I often find eggs on the bars as they could not get in the box to lay as it was occupied. Omlette please look at adding this extra nesting box. Otherwise 10 out of 10

I finally decided to buy this product after battling to eradicate red mite from my old chicken house, which was made from wood and full of nooks and crannies. It arrived flat packed and was very easy to assemble thanks to good instructions. It sounds silly but I was concerned that it might look very "plasticky" but I was pleasantly surprised. It's now been up and in use for 4 weeks and overall I am very pleased, the chickens seem happy and are staying much dryer due to the covered run. An improvement that would benefit me, would be a smaller door opening. My chickens keep going into the nesting box to sleep which I think might be because of the draft due to the door opening being quite big. Also I love the size of the door in and out of the run but I do struggle when trying to put the chicks away after they have been roaming the garden. I end up putting 1 away then closing the door whilst I get the next and then it's a bit of a struggle trying to put the other away whilst stopping the one that is away from escaping (my husband finds this hilarious to watch). Maybe the door could be split in two so that it's still easy to let them out but then the bottom half of the door could be closed to assist putting them away? Overall though I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.

I purchased the clear cover for the cube, It's great it keeps the girls dry and lets in lot's of light. Much more suitable than the green cover as it's much stronger material which does not allow the rain to drip through it. Nice one Omlet!
