Definitely does the job - girls toasty warm and fits well. Looks good too. Would give 5 stars if there was a zip round the egg port door and a hole for door opening handle but most of all why do Omlet eyelets always rust so quickly?

The "extreme jacket" arrived promptly just before the snow. Our hens (who had just moved from Kent to the wilds of Wales) were extremely grateful and showed it by starting to lay again. Easy to put on with robust attachments, my only concern is that the zip is a rather insignificant plastic one that I might use in dress making. I think that, for the pricey cost of the jacket, Eglu could provide a better quality zip. It will be interesting to see how long it lasts.

The eglu cube extreme temperature is expensive at £99, but it does make me feel confident that my hens are warm enough in this bitterly cold weather we've had recently, thanks to it's additional insulation layer. It is not designed particularly well though because you have to unclip bungees as well as unzip the back to get access into the eggport, whereas the same jacket for the eglu classic was designed to provide really easy access.The bungee clips that hold it on interfere with the protective skirt around the base of the cube, and there should be a hole cut into it for the handle that needs to be pulled right out to open/close the cube's door. I have to tuck the jacket behind it. I think the design should be reconsidered.

Our cube is in quite an exposed garden and it does have a few gaps where the draughts can whistle through. I feel much more reassured now we have the extreme weather jacket covering the cube to completely stop all the draughts. It's like a big waterproof duvet that fits really snugly all the way round. Yes, you do have to unzip one zip and detach a couple of bungies to access the egg port but it's no great hardship. A really good investment.

I am thrilled with this superb insulated jacket for the cube. It provides extra warmth in extreme temperatures, but can be frustrating unhooking and re-hooking several times a day. Minor adjustments would increase rating to 5 stars, which is what it deserves.

Thank goodness I ordered one of these jackets as the temperature is all over the place. These are my first hens so I want to get things right, and they really are very cosy. I can almost feel the warmth coming from the Cube when I open the pop-hole in the mornings! The design is great, although a hole/zip flap for the pop-hole, and possibly the nest box, would be my recommendations for future versions just to make access a little easier/more speedy. A sturdy product which, after much use I now feel is well worth the money.

I love this and so do our hens. They have the clear cover too and are nice and snug with straw in the run and no more wet feet! In fact in the current snow, they spent most of their day keeping warm in their house. My only complaint is the price but hopefully it will last well.

Fitted well but had to return jacket as its a bit of a fiddle on cold mornings trying to undo all back just to get to eggs, Hope you will re-design and I will certainly buy.

Arrived on date due. The chickens seem happy bought due to my ex bat being ill and not agreeing with the vet to put her down hoped it was due to her struggling with her first outdoor cold weather. She is now fine 4 weeks on i'm not returning to that vet either. Improvements I think are needed to the product such as easier access to the side handle and egg port. My children now struggle to look after their hens. but this is the only complaint.
