We bought this Eglu for keeping chickens in a school. The design makes it easier for cleaning out than the eglu classic, although it does not look quite as groovy! So far, the chickens seem happy, so we are!

I live in London and did lots of research on the most suitable chicken house and run and the eglu came top of the list. I opted for the cube in order to give my girls as much space as possible. Customer service was fantastic, the driver put the eglu cube and run together for me and even came back again when I couldn't shut the door to fix it. The eglu is easy to clean either with a hose and a cloth or even easier with a power spray. So far it has proved fox proof I was surprised at the lay out expecting the roosting bars to be higher. This is a really good hen house for city dwellers as it is easy to keep clean and free from mites. The negatives are it is very expensive plus the winter cover could be drastically improved.

Great product. Easy to clean and move. Doesn't look as garish as I thought it would in our rural garden. The girls got used to it quite quickly considering they've not used a ladder before! My only gripe would be that the roosting bars are a little too wide for my bantams to roost on comfortably, subsequently they all squeeze into the nesting box to go to sleep! The ease of cleaning is a joy - not having to bend down and being able to disinfect it properly is a real boon. It will come into its own when Red Mite season is in full swing. Having had trouble with red mite in my wooden houses it can be quite a job to keep it under control. There won't be a problem from now on! The service by Omlet has been great - thanks to all the team. A great product - wish they'd been around years ago!

We ordered the box with 2 chickens. The staff, both on the phone and in person were always very friendly and efficient. The Eglu is great and very fox proof and the chickens are already laying and being very friendly! A great success!!

Fantastic product, great design, only downside is that my chicks refuse to use it :) any tips welcome...

Im delighted with this. The gentleman who delivered it put it up for us and gave us information about Chicken keeping, and showed me how to clip the girls wing. Its nice and easy to keep clean, and my girls are very happy to go to bed each night. They use the ladder to sit on and get a higher view of the garden during the day. My Chickens(pullets) are beautiful, they all have different characters, (I have two Gingernut Rangers and two Miss Pepperpots) Its great looking out the kitchen window and watching their antics. Cant wait for my first eggs. Thankyou best wishes Sue

We've wanted hens for a long time and finally they are housed in our garden. Its great to see them every morning when we wake up in anticipation of some fresh eggs. They are very happy in their eglu go - which makes looking after them very easy - it's easy to clean and access their eggs without too much fuss - a great product well done omlet

I would love to see a viewing panel (with a slide over cover) so you could check the girls are all ok when inside. My big moan is the tiny access gate to the run which is fiddly to open when your hands are full - and it is a challenge when you are not a supermodel athelete to get inside to do any kind of run housekeeping or looking after their welfare

I was amazingly skeptical about getting this chicken house due to the price. It arrived in several loads of large cardboard boxes and took me around 1.5hours to assemble, at which point I was thinking, "What have I done?". My fears where completely unjustified. The chickens love it, the feeder is fantastic, the Large hang on Glug works really well. Best of all, once a fortnight I just power-wash the whole thing clean as new, little effort and no damn mites. These are a revelation and I am a total convert. If I had one criticism, it's that it should come with more wind protection as standard, but I bought a large sheet of 4mm marine plywood and made some wind protection panels to go around the outside, they work well but don't look all that great.

Very pleased with our green cube. Our four chooks took to it immediately. It is so easy to clean, mite free, well-ventilated, robust of construction, easy to move single-handed. The shade keeps the grass beneath dry, the feeder keeps the food dry. Only one has been seen to drink from the glug but they do have access all day also to a grassed area around the cube with a water supply there too. The cube seemed expensive at first but in the long term should prove trouble free and long-lasting so good value for money.
