Previously had green covers but although they gave good protection they ultimately let water through into the run below in very heavy rain. The new clear plastic appears to be totally waterproof and in addition allows the run to be bright. Excellent product. I intend using my original green cover for shade on the sunniest days.

We bought this with our WIR to make an area 3mx2m. Well worth the extra expense. Put it on the end so the stable door is in the central section.

This is much improved from the older version, and I am hopeful that this will last longer than the previous thinner version, which perished pretty much in a year. Nicely shaped to be a good fit around the end of the run.

This is the second cube I have bought ,and I must say I am not as impressed with this new one. The design has been changed with too much ventilation added and even though we assembled on a totally flat surface there seems to be quite large gaps around the back panel which leaks. This could be a problem when the weather turns colder with frost and high winds as the cube are housing Poland chickens and can become hypothermic. The ladder is also a problem as it is not long enough and we have had to make a wooden ladder for them to go to bed.Overall though the door has been made bigger and is much easier to get in to restock food and water and it's an absolute gem to clean out.

I had to replace the original triangular cover as it had not only rotted but been pecked to pieces by crows...this one is not only much sturdier but also covers much more of the run. (I also put another type of cover over part of the run nearest the eglu, leaving just a little open to the sky). - I think this new cover is much better as although my chickens free range over the garden, I think they prefer a larger cover when in the coop and it's raining and especially when it snows, or the frost is heavy, as they don't like walking on the snow/frost! The other cover is merely a sun shade and not really a cover. Hopefully this one will stand up to the elements - and the crows!

Very good item, nice and sturdy. I don't know how far down inside the hens could get their heads if it wasn't kept topped up. Install and then fill with hose, don't try to fill and then install, like I did!

Useful extension is functional and attractive. Did not contain instructions about how to fit it which made the process take longer.

I'm soooooooooo pleased with my Eglu, its everything I thought it would be and more. I wasn't in range to get the complete set up-chickens and all, but I'm happy because I've rehomed 4 Ex Battery Chickens from Sophie at Wigan. I've only had them 3 weeks but the change in them is awesome to see, and the Eglu is the perfect home for them and just they deserve. Everything has been a new experience for them and have coped better than I thought they might. My friend Susan has got the bug too, she received her Eglu last week. Thanks again.

I purchased the Eglu Go for my 3 Pekin Bantams and they love it. They are dry and cosy when it rains. However in this hot spell we have been having I have found the Eglu to be lovely and cool inside unlike my old wooden house which was like an oven in the summer. As the double wall insulation will be keeping them warmer in the winter this will mean I won't have to erect my polytunnel for them either. I am extremely happy with my Eglu. It is easy to clean out the dropping tray as I line mine with 2 sheets of newspaper which is easily thrown away and replaced daily and the roosting bars get sponged down with hot soapy water once a week and are like new again in no time. I found the instructions very easy to follow on both the house and the run.
