I am pleased with the eglu. My hens like it and it is generally easy to keep clean. The two things I find difficult are that it is not practical to detatch the run from the eglu so the front of the eglu is almost impossible to clean (though I realise this keeps it fox proof). I also find the feeder too large for two hens and wasteful on food, so I am thinking of buying a hopper.

Really wanted the chickens for our little daughters and gritted teeth envisaging lots of hard work. Not so - the Eglu has made it easy easy easy. We're just thrilled to bits!

Very easy, intended to help our daughter learn to be responsible for living animals - so far so good.

I have three hens and they seem to like it however it is quite cramped for 7+ and when its sunny the guard doesnt really shield away the sun but overall good. A flaw is that the hens havent mastered the steps. Overall a brill product! x

The only down side as far we are concerned is that it is impossible to fit an electric door opener to the cube. Other than that we are very pleased with it and hopefully it's construction should help keep the red mite away ! Thanks Andrew

I am very happy with my Eglu go and the professional way it was delivered and set up.

This is truly amazing - the only thing was that it was late and came without a shade we have a fox and they haven't gotten in yet :) fingers crossed

Having bought my 3 girls & their Go in early June, they've had a wonderful summer with kids home from uni so lots of supervision for free ranging...With term starting, they will have to be in the run far more and so more space in the run was essential (An aside: It would be lovely if Omlet could make it clear when talking hen capacity that it's the houses, not the runs, that accommodate the number of chooks mentioned in their ads) Unfortunately I ordered mine just in time to be hit by the September price rise, but it arrived promptly, was easy to attach and the girls look very happy with their enhanced accommodation.

Four hours of wrestling with heavy bits and fiddly bits and it all went together. Other ingredients necessary include a little swearing and plenty of brute force and ignorance in places. There are some bits of rubber seal left over that aren't mentioned in the instructions though. Once together the Cube looks pretty good. I didn't get my chooks till a couple of weeks later so it got the chance to be rain and wind tested and has so far withstood some horrific downpours. With the chooks now in I can appreciate its easy enough to clean out being at waist height. I've had to shield one part of the run with tarp due to the awful weather we've been having so the birds have a little shelter. When it comes to moving it to another patch of ground I can see I'll struggle (looks to be at least a two person job). Overall I'm happy with it so far. *update* Our first ever egg has been laid today!!
