I bought 2 of these so I could hang a drinker and feeder side by side outisde when they were free-ranging. My chooks didn't understand that after eating they then had to walk round round the other side to get a drink.....! An unintended use, which has proved very helpful during this cold snap when the girls have been confined to the run, is being able to use the stand to carry the feeder and drinker inside in the evening and carry fresh water & mash out again the next morning.

This is a really superior product.It has been well tested recently with night time temperatures of -10c. the girls have hopped out every morning and shown their gratitude by continuing to lay!

It was great fun putting the cube together myself and gave appreciation of the thought and quality of the product as a whole. Cleaning is simplicity itself and I predict a jetwash clean, when needed, will give great results in a very short time. I look forward to red mite being a thing of the past. The hens seem to accept the Cube easily and all works well except that the step into the cube (once off the ladder) can give the hens problems in the wet as it gets very slippery. Might be something to modify in future production runs. Everything else is fine - thank you.

I was disappointed to find that the run did not detach easily from the chicken house. This means that the 2 together are heavy and cumbersome to move around the garden and requires 2 people. I intend to move my chickens frequently and it will be a more difficult task than I had envisaged. (It could be that it is actually quite easy to detach the wire run and I have not yet found out how to do it?) Otherwise I think the design is good, and everything that I had expected it to be.

Assembled very well: apart from fitting the wheel assemblies: I managed on my own without any real problems (5 foot and 8 stone so not exactly the strongest!) I found the instructions clear and easy to follow. Although I've had the cube for a couple of weeks I have only just moved the hens into it because of the very cold weather. They have settled in really well and seem quite happy. I would also like to say that Omlet's Customer Service is brilliant.

Seems expensive at first, but this run extension makes a big difference to the space available and means that Layla & Roxanne can spend the winter in comfort, with a winter shade to keep the rain and snow off and Hemcore underfoot to keep the run mud-free.

The eglu cube arrived just before the cold snap and it has been absolutely brilliant! Easy to keep clean and super snug for our hens during the snow and ice. We got the 1m extension run and another cover with it which provides plently of room and shelter. Great product.

Very pleased with the cube - the ladder could have a few more rungs on it as the chickens tend to fly off it instead of walking down - they walk up it but not down it! Easy to clean.

I already bought an Eglu Cube a year or so ago and when they all started to pick on poor Cindy I decided that she needed to be separated from the rest before they killed her! So I bought an Eglu Go...First mistake was to think it would be easy to put together, two friends and four hours later I still dont think we have it perfectly built! I dont love it to the same extent as the Cube, it is much more difficult to clean and keep clean, I dont feel it is as accessible as the run is so long and low. Cindy likes to sleep, poop and lay her eggs all in one place which is not great, the separate room in the Cube is much better. But overall is does the job, she is happy enough, all her pecked feathers are growing back and the other hens are dying to get in there! I wish you would look at the design of your food and water dishes and make them like the more convential style. My hens wont use either of your designs.
