We bought this for our daughter for Christmas as I was not overly keen on having a conventional hamster cage. Having seen this one it is more a piece of furniture as opposed to a conventional cage and I have to say it is really well thought out in terms of the design. Also the quality is far better than I had expected. I am in the retail furniture trade so had high expectations and I have to say I am really pleased with it. Really good product and really good service.

Delivery was very quick. I looked at my stack of boxes and thought, "I'll never be able to put this together", but I started one page 1, organized all the parts, and put it together by myself! The instructions are excellent. I have a bit of trouble moving it from place to place because my ground is very uneven, tall weeds, etc, BUT it is doable. Looking forward to my chickens doing weed abatement for me.

Bought on a whim, didn't think they would use it that much. They will chase me around until I fill it! Great product!

Bought this on a whim, turns out to be very entertaining. Chickens wait for 1 special duck to help them. She has figured out that she can grab it w/her bill and shake it, all the seeds fly out. Chickens then come rushing over to eat w/o the hassle of the work. They then chase off the duck to eat it all.

Although for the size these covers are pricey they are well worth it. The plastic is much more durable and tough compared to many tarpaulin you can get. The gutters are also a great feature and the rain runs right off them well. They’ve so far stood up to frost and snow well and suspect like all other Omlet products I have had will last many many years. My only issue I have with these is connecting them next to the side covers. I would like to put them over the top however this is difficult and therefore the rain runs down the inside of the side covers into the run. If Omlet can let me know a neat trick to avoid this it would be fab. I will certainly be slowly investing in more for the run, especially for next years inevitable ‘flock down’ due to avian influenza.

I bought these prior to the influenza flock down as I wanted them as wind breakers for the ducks. They are a very sturdy design, made from durable plastic but not too thick they can’t be bent around corners. I’ve popped one over the doorway to the duck run during this lockdown period for them to avoid any interaction with my regular garden birds. My only wish is I could get them closer to the ground as I feel like there is always a little gap at the bottom letting a draft in. Otherwise, love them.

It’s well made for the price too. Really did not want a hamster but when we found this online I came round to the idea as it’s a piece of furniture as opposed to an ugly (in my opinion) traditional hamster cage.

Should’ve bought one years ago! Perfect safe home for my girls and they’ve settled into it well. So much easier than my Heath Robinson rig up last year to house them due to bird flu. Only criticism is the size of the gaps in the top half of the wire panels - they’re big enough for small wild birds to fly in, such as robins, so to be fully DEFRA compliant you need to cover the top with tarpaulin and add extra netting around top half. Despite those temporary measures, this is a brilliant product, and when we eventually read the instructions booklet (haha), it was easy to put together.

Our little hamster is a escape artist. But he has yet to escape from this cage. (even when my daughter left the drawer part open) The wheel is so quiet even next to her bed she can not hear it. I did not have to use any other tubing Stormy is able to go up and down the tube without a problem being a mini hamster.

We got this cage for two gerbils. It's definitely sturdy, spacious, and nice features. I definitely appreciate the bottom section coming out as a playpen for my kid to use when he wants to interact with the gerbils. The exercise wheel is very quiet. My only concern is the tube is so upright and the gerbils are on the smaller side. They do not like to go up and down it. We found out if we put in loose bedding into the tube, they will go up and down easier. Every day we need to add more bedding to the tube as it gets pushed out from them going up and down so often. Maybe the next redesign can be a ramp that can go flat on the top section when pulling out the bottom section? Otherwise this is a great set up for our gerbils.
