My cat is diabetic, the litter tray can get quite messy, she always manages to do her business outside of the litter tray, even forcing it through joins on cat litter trays with hoods So when I read the reviews about the liner opening being so low down I decided to get creative I bought an additional liner for a top opening litter tray, cut it up and used it to extend the liner and create a flap out of the doorway, using gorilla waterproof tape and command strips It works brilliantly there’s been a few times where if that wasn’t there it would have been an out of liner mess in the wooden box I’m glad I bought the one with storage, I haven’t put the storage shelf in, you do need the extra head room to be able to get in and clean the litter The cat litter I use needs to be 7cm deep minimum, (vancat) when it’s this full the liner bulges and the front door doesn’t catch to keep it shut It really is too heavy to pull out and slide back in for cleaning a bottom plate on drawer runners would be ideal So once I’ve done the done customisation I wouldn’t swap it, it’s exactly what I needed and I’m really pleased with it It looks good, keeps everything inside and out of view

We have had our cat for several years and we have been using a basic open-topped litter tray. The trouble with these is that litter (and more) can sometimes get kicked out onto the floor, and our dog takes an unhealthy interest in the results... We also have a toddler now who, for obvious reasons, we do not want to follow in our dog's footsteps. The Maya unit is ideal for us, because the cat is perfectly happy using it, and the others can't get in; the litter itself is well contained and the cat doesn't track it out on her feet; the carbon filter seems to keep the odour at bay; and the inner tray/liner is easy to remove, empty and clean. The unit is also reasonably easy to assemble, and fits well into our home. It is a bit pricey, but it is the only top-entry, dog-resistant cat toilet that we were confident would work for us, and it is pretty solid, so well worth the investment.

I bought the walk in litter box as I have older cats. It looks great and cats are happy to use it but the front opening of the liner is really low and one of my cats frequently manages to pee over the edge. This results in urine running all along the inside of the box under the liner (which, as it is laminated, has meant it has started to blow and the white covering come away). Some of the urine flows out of the box under the door and all over the floor. Really disappointed as the product looks great but it needs a flap or a more carefully thought out liner.

Love the whole look of this litter box. Would recommend this box. The liner works well and easy to clean. One improvement for omlet to consider is the addition of a cat flap style door which would eliminate the hint of cat litter over the floor. (Used two differing clumping cat litters to date and not been able to avoid this small issue) Purchased wheels so the whole unit portable! Mimi loves it. Thank you

This is very neat and well thought out in exterior design. However it is so disappointing inside where all the action takes place. The liner only has vertical supports at the front, there is a hook the width of the back inside the cupboard which holds up the liner but it fails. Firstly you have to get right in there to hook It on, so every time you scoop you are on your knees arm in with your face right up close to the litter. Even if you do attach it in place if your cat is a scratcher and likes to methodically cover its ‘doings’ it will quite often pull this off the hook. This has happened countless times and often results with a poo all over the liner or worse a wee thats gone over and down the back. It was expensive and I am so disappointed as I have the Eglu and run and its superb. If Omlet you decide to rectify the interior liner, please send me one that doesn’t collapse.

This has tidied up our home and prevents smells so much! The cats took to it immediately. With the nice big holed on the top most the litter remains in the tray. And even better Penny (who has a thing for scratching a wall after pooping…) now isn’t damaging the wall as all scratching is inside the box. Wish I had found this sooner. Thank you

I purchased this litter box after finally having enough 9f my puppy doing what, unfortunately, puppies do with cat litter trays if they can get to them. The top entry box with storage is fantastic. I was worried my kitten wouldn't use it. No problems there. He took to it quickly. I was worried it would be too dark for him. Due to the design, he actually has more light and room (he's a Maine coon). Not only is there zero smell coming from the box, but I am no longer stepping on sharp shards of silica litter. This is for 2 reasons: 1) the landing tray does brush off most litter back into the box as Brucie jumps out and 2) I purchased the Omlet silica litter to try and it is much softer on the feet and, I imagine, kitty toe beans. I hesitated before buying this, but wish I'd gone for it when I first brought my kitten home 3 months ago. This is the 3rd litter box I've tried. I think it will be the last. I also have to compliment the easy assembly instructions, rapid shipping, and terrific customer service. Because of where I have to put the box, I have set it on furniture sliders in case it needs to be moved. Thank you, Omlet!

We got this litter box for my ragdoll cat when he was still a kitten and he would kick litter everywhere and cover himself. He adjusted to this litter tray really easily and gets in and out with no problems. The tracking has reduced massively thanks to the lid he jumps on and in 95% of the case he comes out clean. It's easy to empty by taking the liner out and the cleaning is easy as well. I also feel like it doesn't smell as much as it is enclosed and thanks to the filter. 10/10!
