This is great for my 10 hens. Easy to clean and no worry of the red mite. The only downside for 10 hens there needs to be 2 nesting areas one each side. I often find eggs on the bars as they could not get in the box to lay as it was occupied. Omlette please look at adding this extra nesting box. Otherwise 10 out of 10

I finally decided to buy this product after battling to eradicate red mite from my old chicken house, which was made from wood and full of nooks and crannies. It arrived flat packed and was very easy to assemble thanks to good instructions. It sounds silly but I was concerned that it might look very "plasticky" but I was pleasantly surprised. It's now been up and in use for 4 weeks and overall I am very pleased, the chickens seem happy and are staying much dryer due to the covered run. An improvement that would benefit me, would be a smaller door opening. My chickens keep going into the nesting box to sleep which I think might be because of the draft due to the door opening being quite big. Also I love the size of the door in and out of the run but I do struggle when trying to put the chicks away after they have been roaming the garden. I end up putting 1 away then closing the door whilst I get the next and then it's a bit of a struggle trying to put the other away whilst stopping the one that is away from escaping (my husband finds this hilarious to watch). Maybe the door could be split in two so that it's still easy to let them out but then the bottom half of the door could be closed to assist putting them away? Overall though I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.

Very easy to take care of in terms of cleaning etc, and the sliding doors / trays / egg doors are also great in daily use. They seem to like it so far (consistently getting 3-4 eggs a day from 4 hens)!! It feels very solidly built, and good value for money considering the number of years use we will get out of it with clean and disease free environment for the hens. My only complaint would be the plastic stairs and the lip where the doors is. One of my hens still can't walk down it properly and tends to just fly down. She stands on the lip and slips sometimes, though the others have mastered it quite well. I think adding some kind of textured surface on there would work well, just something to grip onto a little more. A super design that is easy to clean, either with a cloth & bucket of soapy water or with a power washer. I particularly like the way the different components can be removed to aid cleaning and drying. Being able to access the nesting box from the outside is a bonus and means I can keep peeking to check for eggs. The Cube is easy to push around the garden (so far only on fairly firm ground), which has helped to spread out the chickens' impact on the 'lawn'. The run size allows the 4 birds ample room to feed and scratch around safely if shut in, and they are certainly well protected once they have been shut up for the night.

This is the second cube I have bought ,and I must say I am not as impressed with this new one. The design has been changed with too much ventilation added and even though we assembled on a totally flat surface there seems to be quite large gaps around the back panel which leaks. This could be a problem when the weather turns colder with frost and high winds as the cube are housing Poland chickens and can become hypothermic. The ladder is also a problem as it is not long enough and we have had to make a wooden ladder for them to go to bed.Overall though the door has been made bigger and is much easier to get in to restock food and water and it's an absolute gem to clean out.

Every day I clean it out I thank my son for persuading me not to go for a wooden coop! And the chickens seemed happy aswell. We have had to add a log to the bottom of the ladder to help one little silkie up initially. But she has got the hang of it now.

Very happy with our Eglu. Its easy to move which was the main reason we went for it and very easy to clean which is a real plus. I was surprised it did not come with some pegs for securing the run from foxes, which is fairly important. Also the door latches could be better designed as once you have opened the run door you are left holder the two pins. We have 4 chickens in our extended run, I would not suggest having anymore than that and certainly not the 10 you suggest in the Eglu specifications.

After ordering, the flat packs arrived promptly and we set to putting the cube and extension run together. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and after a couple of hours two of us had a completed cube and 2 metre run. A few weeks later we stocked with 5 beautiful hybrids from Newland Poultry (highly recommended) who are thriving and producing plenty of eggs. Overall we are delighted with the Eglu Cube, it is a practical, being easy to maintain and clean, attractive addition to the garden. More importantly the "girls" love it! My only very slight concern is that the hens do not seem to like the roosting bars and prefer to sleep in the nesting box. Has anyone else had this problem? If so what solutions have you employed.

We already had an Eglu Classic, but having recently hatched one chick and bought another our flock was up to 4, so decided to invest in the Cube - it is great, well made, easy to clean, all as expected, but also easier to move around than the Classic, although we still use this as well at the moment for the chicks & their "mum", so had to buy another chicken when bought the Cube to keep the other one company - so currently they all have plenty of room, but will eventually put all 5 in the Cube.

I am extremely pleased with the high quality build of my green cube. I purchased walk-in runs to attach to eat and would highly recommend these for provide greater space and ease of tidying/cleaning run areas.
