It has just withstood the test of 80 mph winds and sweeping sideways rain on our south west facing Welsh hillside, with flying colours! It stood firm and with the heavy duty Cube run cover in place, no leakage what so ever. We are VERY impressed. The internal "guttering"works well and is great design. The house is well ventilated but warm. So easy to keep clean. We will never return to wood! Most important the chix love it. As we put together our Cube and walk in run they showed great interest and hung out with us, taking peaks inside. Their 12 year old traditional "Forsham" house stood next to the finished Cube but as soon as the Cube was ready they were all in it by their own choice and no problem going up the ladder to bed on their first night. They had all laid eggs by the next morning. They completely ignore the old house which they grew up in, and are happy to spend the day on their high perches in the walk in run if we are out. Chickens are obviously pretty smart and discerning birds! Well done and very good customer service as well! I will send a photo when the sun comes out(?). Thanks for a great product.

Very good product, easy to clean and not too difficult to assemble. My major criticism is the ladder. The spaces between the rungs are too wide and the ladder is too short. My Brahmas find it very difficult to use. Please redesign it! I would buy another cube if the ladder was resigned.

Having become immersed in keeping chickens for only a few short weeks, we decided we needed to upgrade from our Go to a Cube to satisfy both future increase in numbers but also to make the most of the room we have for the girls. So much easier to clean as it's off the ground, the coop is a snug easy to access home for them and the ability to move the roof for cleaning is such a bonus. We got a run extension and extra roosting bars to make life easier all round and as with many other Cube owners, the only drawback is the ladder ... our poor Pekins used a combination of clumsy cannonballing down and hesitant wobbling and lunging to get back up with one of them firing herself from the end of the run at the open coop door with limited success! A bit of DIY adaptation with some strong plastic coated mesh has helped immeasurably but this is a long standing problem from what we read so the only plea Omlet is ... sort it out! Otherwise, it's fantastic, we love it and it's made caring for these incredible creatures even more rewarding. Thanks Omlet, very nice piece of kit!

sturdy, easy to clean, easy to move, no problems.

It took two of us a good two hours to assemble and is a bit fiddly in that respect. Equally, the clips that hold the wire mesh together are ingenious, but make your fingers ache after a few and pliers tend to break the tabs. However, once it is assembled and in place it is wonderful - so easy to clean, so easy to reposition and most importantly, our Buff Orpingtons seem to like it!

Don't know how I managed with the old wooden coop cleaning it out used to be a big messy job now it's so easy and no bending down, the hens took to it straight away. Can't recommend it enough. Expensive but certainly worth it.

Ordered cube by phone and spoke to Sebastian, very friendly and helpful who apologised that as we live on the Isle of Wight there would be a delay of one day - it arrived on Thursday (ordered on the Monday). Delighted with finished product but as it took my husband and step-son considerably more than 2 hours to assemble! We are talking couple of days and much scratching of heads. I suspect that with practise this time can be achieved and if we get another one then this time can be improved on.

Being new to chickens I purchased a cube with a 1m extension. Simple to put up, built with the quality and care you would expect and more. It's big so lots of room for the chooks to roam and roost. East to clean and maintain and is expandable and versatile so you can change as you need. Jet wash clean and it's like new, all the parts are replaceable at reasonable prices so if there is an accident or you want to rejuvenate your cube it's simple. I will be recommending Omlet and the Cube to everyone!

My chickens love their new house and are happily laying and digging a dust bath in the lawn, now ex-lawn. I have inserted a piece of timber for them to use as a perch which they also seem to like. Might be a thought for a future addition?

The eglu cube is very well thought out and easy to clean. The chickens love it. I have removed the ladder and replaced it with an old rabbit hutch which they like to go in and jump on to for access. As I now only have 2 girls and a very large cockerel, they all sleep in the egg bit and lay in the hutch! This works better as the only egg in the right place was trampled! My only worry is for very bad winter weather. I have now put the whole thing in the garage. We leave the door open by day so they are sheltered and so am I for cleaning. It is brilliant! Note we do live in Southern Scotland fairly high above sea level.
