My budgie has been super fluffed up for the last week and his droppings have become a different texture (more watery and sticky) and have changed colour (green ish) he hasn't uttered a single tweet in the last week either, he's usually very loud. However he's still eating and drinking very normally? His face and eyes and cere are normal. His butt isn't dirty. He's grooming himself. I have noticed he's breathing a bit more rapidly though. Also some context: me and my family went away for 16 days and gave him to out neighbors to look after. We always do this when we go away and he's always fine. My parents came back a week before I did and took him home and our neighbors said he's been very quiet for the last 2 days. I've only been home for 2 full days but I've definitely noticed the difference in his behaviour. Hes 5 years old and a rainbow budgie so I'm not sure if this could just be "old age" as I've recently realised he's probably rather inbred. Please someone help me. I've done all I can

My parakeet’s poop became pale green overnight. The day before their poop was normal. I’m extremely worried.

I had almost 30 budgies but all of a sudden they are dying one by one. I am trying to do everything but nothing is working. Now I have only 7 of them but they always stay fluffed up. Two of them has red around their eyes. Their diet is same but I don't know where it went wrong. I need serious help cause in our area we do not have any vet for birds

My budgie, Marker, is always fluffed up which hasn't bothered me until he can't fly very far, or when he does, he collides into the wall or a piece of furniture. It scares me, he's been sick before. Usually, his cage is next to a window to let the sunlight in, but he hasn't been flying out and going to warmer places if he's cold. His head feathers are also falling out, which makes think he's molting, it IS February, and pretty decent where we are. He's very picky, and won't eat fresh fruits or vegetables, but he CONSTANTLY eats seeds and millet. (I have a suspicion he has diarreha) His poo used to we 'normal' but know it's crusty white. Does he have a liver problem or something??

My 2 parakeets do not appear sick in any way. But there is always a dark grey rim around their water bowl. They have 2 other water sources so I’m wondering if they are bathing in this one, and if so, are they working as mechanism at night? Why is it consistently there? Have you heard of this before?

My parakeet also began to stand on 1 leg and I noted some nodules on the not used leg. The Avery vet said it looked like gout which in a bird will cause kidney failure. And thus it was….there Is no treatment and she left us a few months later. It would be wise to see an Avery vet.

Hii ! My parakeet only uses one leg, seems like the other one is paralyzed he doesn’t use it at all out of nowhere & is all fluffed up. What is it ?

Very useful information and gives detail information that the novice owner does not know or overlook.
